Clinical Guidelines are supplementary information material documents. Because of this, there is no expectation for formal review and renewal of this material on an annual basis. It is the nurse’s responsibility to acknowledge when they require review of the content. These resources can be found on the iNtranet, as well as the LMS. The nurse should review this material at their own discretion or when advised by a preceptor, Clinical Nurse Specialist, interprofessional educator or patient care manager. The nurse will refer to the specific Clinical Guideline, along with the associated policy, or the parental manual to determine if a skill can be performed in their clinical care area. To determine the nursing category required (RN or RPN) for each guideline, refer to the policy Nursing – Utilization of RNs and RPNs (ADM-2-12).
